This is the best Devon McCormack book I've read. I've loved all the books I've read by him, both his solo work and his work with Riley Hart, but this is by far the best. I was not expecting to feel everything I am for these characters.Jesse had never been with a man but he wasn't opposed to trying. I loved how once Eric found out that Jesse was a virgin to anal sex he backed off. It was frustrating watching them want the same thing but being unable to have it as neither of them wanted to wreck their relationships with Ty. But it only lasted so long before they were at it again.The sex was hot and everything I expected from this book. But Eric's issues, along with Jesse's compassion and understanding came at a level I wasn't expecting. And I loved that. They built a great relationship and I was not expecting the turn this book took.By the end, once I saw the direction it was heading towards I was in tears. I didn't expect that. I didn't Devon McCormack to evoke such a strong reaction from me. I need more of these characters. While I read this book fully knowing it ended in a "cliffhanger" and for the most part I really enjoyed author Devon McCormack's book BFF,BEST FRIEND'S FATHER (BFF, Book 1) unfortunately the second book in this series BEST FRIEND'S FATHER CLAIMED (BFF, Book 2) was a big let down! Mr. McCormack has this bad habit of alluding to things in his books that never materialize. In this book we readers are led to believe that 45 year old Erick Westright and his best son's best friend, 24 year old Jesse are at the beginning of a D/s, BDSM and very kinky (sexually) relationship in book 2 but that never happens and all we get is just more boring, vanilla sex and it turns out that tough guy Eric is just another privileged, whiny, white rich guy and to make things even worse Mr. McCormack leaves us poor readers in the lurch and doesn't even bother to finish telling us Erick and Jesse's story...TWO BOOKs, 606 PAGES for nothing!
